Sampling the prestigious St Helena coffee, night swimming at the Jamestown pool, noisy street parades to celebrate the national day and spotting the colourful fish in the Castle Gardens fountain, are some of the activities to experience.
This video about Jamestown also includes shopping for groceries along Main Street, catching a taxi, climbing Jacob's Ladder and target shooting at the Jamestown Rifle Club, plus lots more!
We also include an overview of Jamestown’s history and how it came to be a city.
Filmed & produced in early 2023

(Merrill Piepkorn): "When we're in Hazen in coal country, we'll do some coal mining songs. When we're in Bismarck, of course, we did more shows about state government."
The show celebrates local legends...
(sound): McCoy Ministries comes on
And there's comedy...
(sound): funny stuff
There's history...
(Sound): a breaking news piece
And lots of music.
(sound): Kate singing
(Kate Henne): "Especially the smaller towns, there's not always a lot of live entertainment. And, in addition to the local guests and the regional guests, we've got a wonderful house band. These gentlemen you see sitting over here have all been playing for 30 plus years."
(Vicki Melchior): "At the end of the show, it's so much fun to hear people say, 'Well, I never knew that about my community.' It leaves you with such a good feeling, being a part of this."
(Kristi Goldade): "The more crowds you get to be in front of, the more people who see you, it's just a great impact. Especially to be out on the radio, because you never know who is listening."
The show is live in small and large towns. Then it's broadcast on the radio and online within weeks.
(Kate Stevenson): "Having the ability to broadcast the talent that's in all of our towns is such a gift and doesn't happen very often. Outside of churches and some local concerts, there aren't a lot of venues for a larger audience to know what really happens in North Dakota. And we're very very proud of what we can do."
Basin Electric is a major sponsor.
(Kate Henne): "When you talk about taking 12, 15 people on the road, it gets to be expensive, and we really couldn't do it without our corporate sponsors."
This show has been a dream of Merrill Piepkorn's for fifteen years. Now, two years in, he's hoping to expand.
(Merril Piepkorn): "The content of the shows has just exceeded my expectations. I never knew it would be this good. And never did I realize that the reception by the crowds across this state would be this fantastic."
